As part of the "Year of Solidarity for a Green World," Yelo Bank continues its proactive initiatives. This time, the bank supported the Second International Forum for Foreign Language Teachers, organized by Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC), on the topic of "Eco Linguistics."
The forum aimed to explore the crucial role of language in advancing green initiatives in a world tackling environmental issues. Held at the Baku Congress Center, the event was inaugurated with speeches by UNEC Rector, Professor Adalat Muradov, and the British Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Fergus Auld. The forum continued with engaging presentations and a panel discussion moderated by UNEC's Director of the Foreign Languages Department, Associate Professor Aysel Khalilova.
The second part of the event, which brought together over 400 participants, featured presentations on the intersection of linguistics and environmental studies.
It’s worth noting that Yelo Bank also supported the First International Forum for Foreign Language Teachers held last year. That forum focused on "Innovative Strategies in Learning Foreign Languages" and was dedicated to the 100th anniversary of National Leader Heydar Aliyev. In line with its Corporate Social Responsibility strategy, Yelo Bank actively supports education initiatives and maintains strong collaborations with universities to contribute to the bright future of education.
